MR. GARCELON'S POSITION.

One of the primary reasons for the ill-success of the baseball team last season was the lack of a trainer after Mr. Donovan's assignment to the track team. A baseball team can get along fairly well without a trainer in the early part of the season when the players are fresh, but in the hot competition of the later season a trainer is very necessary to keep the men from over-working themselves. We understand that as advisory coach of the baseball team Mr. Garcelon is to have some oversight of the physical condition of the men,--a task for which his long experience with athletes has given him ample preparation.
