THE JUNIOR DANCE.

Not the least of the troubles which the Junior dance committee will meet is that of over-crowding in the Union. Since the dance was transferred to the Union several years ago it has grown so in popularity that the Living Room is no longer sufficient to accommodate comfortably all who wish to attend. Except for this lack of room for dancing, the Union is in every way suitable, and is the appropriate place to have the dance.

There are two obvious ways of remedying these conditions. To out down the attendance by increasing the price of tickets would be an undesirable means, and should be avoided if possible. Being a class affair, the dance should be open to all members of the class at moderate expense.

The other way to get rid of overcrowding,--by providing more room,--is the desirable method if it is practicable. Heretofore the dancing has been confined to the Living Room, though a few persons have sometimes resorted to the corridor on the second floor. This enforced use of the second floor suggests that by locating some of the boxes there the Periodical Room, and perhaps the Game Room also, might be reserved for dancing. The additional space would relieve the congestion very materially, and so would make the dance more enjoyable for all who attend.
