The New England Federation of Harvard Clubs will hold its second annual convention in Boston this afternoon and evening under the auspices of the Harvard Club of Boston. A committee composed of Arthur J. Garceau '91, Albert A. Gleason '86 and Charles H. Fiske, Jr., '93, of the Boston Harvard Club, has been appointed to take entire charge of the entertainment of all delegates.
At 1 o'clock this afternoon an informal luncheon will be held at the Parker House, to which delegates and members of the Federation and members of the Boston Harvard Club have been invited. Directly following the luncheon a business meeting will be held. At this time reports of committees will be presented, and officers of the Federation and other prominent alumni will discuss plans for furthering the work of the body.
An informal reception will be held at the American House from 6 to 7 o'clock, and at 7 o'clock the annual dinner of the Federation will be held at the same place. Charles T. Billings '84, president of the Federation, will preside. The speakers will be Major Henry L. Higginson '55, who, as president of the Harvard Club of Boston, will extend an official welcome to the visiting alumni, President Lowell, Rt. Rev. William Lawrence '71, and Thomas W. Slocum '90, president of the Associated Harvard Clubs of America.
The luncheon at the Parker House will be free to all visiting delegates and members of the Harvard Club of Boston. The price of the dinner at the American House will be $1.50 a plate. Tickets may be procured of Mr. Fiske, 39 Bay State Road, Boston, or of a member of the entertainment committee.
