At the annual consolation games held in the Stadium yesterday there were several good performances. The quarter-mile was the best race of the afternoon, S. C. Simons '11 winning by a slight margin in the creditable time of 52 4-5 seconds. The mile was another well-contested race, in which H. Guild '10 just beat out C. P. Howard '09 in the home stretch. In the two-mile, H. Y. Masten '10 established a lead at the outset, which he maintained throughout, winning in rather slow time. The performances in the field events were poor.
