The Juniors won the interclass track games held in the Stadium yesterday afternoon with a total of 50 2-3 points. The Sophomores came second with 38 1-2, followed by the Seniors with 22 1-2 points. The Freshmen scored only 5 1-3 points, their poor showing being largely accounted for by the fact that they were excluded form the 440-yard dash and the distance runs. A high wind blowing directly up the straightaway handicapped both track and field events. On this account the hurdles were run in the opposite of the usual direction.
Captain W. M. Rand '09, H. Jaques, Jr., '11, and R. C. Foster '11 were the largest point winners, each making 10 points for his class. Rand won both hurdles in good time, Jaques took both the mile and two-mile with comparative ease, and Foster ran away from all other contestants in both dashed. By winning the 220-yard dash Foster gains possession of the cup offered by L. P. Dodge '08 for one year.
The shot-put was won by C. C. Little '10 with a put of 45 ft., 8 in. R. G. Harwood '09 and A. D. Barber '11 tied at 5 ft., 10 in., in the high jump, very creditable performances.
