Plans for Memorial Day Exercises

The annual Memorial Day exercises, under the auspices of the Harvard Memorial Society, will be held in Sanders Theatre on Monday, May 31, at 11.30 o'clock.

The services will consist of the singing of "America," the memorial address by General Horace Porter, and, in closing, the singing of "Fair Harvard" by all present.

The guests, members of the Memorial Society, veterans and sons of veterans of the Charles Beck Post will meet in the Faculty Room, University 5 at 11.30 o'clock, and undergraduates will assemble in front of University Hall at the same time. Seniors are requested to wear their caps and gowns. At 11.30 everyone will march in a procession, lead by the sons of veterans and the Loyal Legion of Boston, of which General Porter is a member, to Sanders Theatre. The following have been appointed marshals for the parade: G. Gund '09, head-marshal; K. S. Cate '09, B. D. Hall '09, H. von Kaltenborn '09. Persons not members of the University are requested to bring a small bunch of flowers to place in the transept of Memorial Hall as a memorial offering. At the annual meeting of the Memorial Society held recently, the following officers were elected for the year 1909-1910: president, President Lowell; vice-president, W. C. Lane '81; secretary, P. F. Perkins '10, treasurer, L. C. Seaverns '10; archivist, K. T. Hunt '10.
