THE SCRUB HOCKEY SERIES.

The success of the scrub hockey series bears witness to the increasing desire of the undergraduates to participate in intracollegiate athletics. Last year the Faculty deplored the great interest shown in intercollegiate sports to the exclusion of contests within the College, because the latter were less exacting and offered opportunities for exercise to a greater number of men than could play on the University teams. But when over 125 men take part in a minor sport series after a particularly interesting year of intercollegiate contests, this attitude seems to be unfounded. Scrub basketball, dormitory track and rowing, and Leiter Cup baseball are becoming more and more popular, and we trust that nothing will prevent the occurrence of such series every year.
