READING BY PROF. WINTER

In Appleton Chapel at 8 o'clock.-Musical Program by Student Choir.

Professor I. L. Winter '86, of the Department of Public Speaking, will give a reading from "A Christmas Carol," by Dickens, in Appleton Chapel this evening at 8 o'clock. In connection with the reading, a musical program has been arranged by W. A. Locke '69, organist and choirmaster. Old English and German, as well as Christmas carols will be sung by the student choir. H. L. Murphy '08 will assist in the program as soloist, and Dean W. W. Fenn '84 will make a brief address. The exercises will be open to the public. Seats in the front part of the Chapel will be reserved for members of the University until 7.55 o'clock.

The musical program is as follows:

Organ-(a) "Pastoral Symphony," from "The Messiah," Handel.

(b) "Heilige Nacht," Bartmuss.

Choir-"Good Christian Men, Rejoice," Old German.

Choir-"Silent Night," Folk Song from the Tyrol.

Solo-"Christmas Song," Cornelius.

Choir-(a) "Good King Wenceslas," Old English.

(b) "God rest you merry gentlemen," Old English.

Choir-"While by my sheep I watched at night," Old German.
