Battery and Cadets Played Tie Game

Battery A and the First Corps of Cadets played a scoreless football game in the Stadium yesterday morning. The ground, which was covered with snow at the beginning of the game, was so slippery that few long runs were made, and accurate tackling was impossible; yet, in spite of the condition of the field, the game was remarkably free from fumbles.

The Battery outplayed the Cadets and, had it not been for a fumble on their opponents' five-yard line, would probably have scored. During the entire game the Battery goal-line was never in danger, while the Cadets were kept continually on the defensive. Gutterson, Ware and Beebe played a strong game for the Cadets and it was chiefly due to the Battery's concentrated attack on these three men that the Cadets were able to prevent a score. For the Battery, Clark played the best game, doing some excellent kicking.

The teams lined up as follows: BATTERY A.  CADETS. Rodgers, l.e.  r.e., Talbot Barber, l.t.  r.t., Nichols Durant, Wheeler, l.g.  r.g., Gutterson Hooper, c.  c., Ware Richardson, Maxwell, r.g.  l.g., Beebe Inches, r.t.  l.t., Briggs Shurtleff, Emerson, r.e.  l.e., Reed, Bowles Clark, q.b.  q.b., Heintzmann Fish, Thurber, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Jones Rice, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Boyd, Sears, Cutler La Croix, Pope, f.b.  f.b., Morse, Burns
