LIGHT SECRET PRACTICE

West Temporarily Out of Game.--L. Withington Shifted to Left Guard.

The secret practice which the University squad held yesterday afternoon in the Stadium was very light. The squad was rather late in coming on to the field, as Coach Haughton gave the players a preliminary drill in the baseball cage.

All the regulars with the exception of G. G. Browne, who had afternoon work, and West, whose shoulder will keep him out of the game for some time, were on the field prepared to go through signal practice. Sprague, Frothingham, Minot and Pierce did quite a little punting, Sprague getting off a number of sixty-yard punts. The first team and substitutes lined up for a short signal drill, and then opposed each other in order to perfect a number of plays and formations. L. Withington was moved from right tackle to West's position at left guard, and Captain Fish was back at right tackle. Corbett, P. D. Smith and Minot made up the backfield with O'Flaherty at quarterback.

The two teams lined up for signals as follows: FIRST TEAM.  SUBSTITUTES. Houston, l.e.  r.e., R. C. Brown McKay, l.t.  r.t., Forster L. Withington, l.g.  r.g., Blodgett P.
