Social Service Conference Tonight

Tonight at 8 o'clock, instead of last night, as was previously announced, a conference on Social Service will be held at Phillips Brooks House. A. Beane '11 will outline the method of assigning men to Social Service work, and several men will speak on various aspects of Social Service and the place of college students in such work. Professor F. G. Peabody '69, of the Social Ethics Department, will talk on "The Benefits of Social Service Work to the College Man as an Individual;" Robert A. Woods, of the South End House, Boston, on "The Opportunity for the College Man to do Good in the Settlement District;" H. B. Taplin, of Hale House, Boston, on "Boys' Clubs;" J. T. Nightingale '10, on "Entertainments;" and A. H. Elder 3L., on "Educational Work." All members of the University are cordially invited to this meeting but men who are willing to undertake Social Service Work are especially urged to come.
