The Freshman hockey team defeated Milton Academy at Milton yesterday afternoon by the score of 4 to 3. The play was fast and each goal closely contested, although the passing of both teams was inaccurate because of the soft condition of the ice.
Because of Milton's poor team-work in the first half the Freshmen were given a decided advantage and led at the end of that period, 3 to 0. The Milton team played together more consistently in the second half, scoring three goals to the Freshmen's one.
The summary: Score--Harvard 1912, 4; Milton Academy, 3. Goals--Duncan 3, Devereux 2, Whidden, Sears. Referee -- Felton. Timekeeper--Wigglesworth. Time--20-and 15-minute halves.
