The University hockey team will play the second game of the intercollegiate series with Princeton at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York City at 8.15 o'clock this evening. This game promises to be the hardest of the intercollegiate series for the University team as Princeton has won all her games, and prevented Yale from scoring in a series of three games played during the Christmas recess at Pittsburg, winning by the scores of 2 to 0, 1 to 0, and 4 to 0. The game will, furthermore, probably decide the intercollegiate championship since Yale was defeated by Dartmouth Thursday by the score of 3 to 2. Princeton has defeated Columbia and Williams, though not by as large scores as has the University team. She has been practicing regularly for nearly a month, and has well-developed team play and a strong defence.

The University team has had less than a week's practice on the ice since the recess, but the work this week, although for two days only, has been excellent. The men have speed and endurance, but their team play is very ragged at times. The defence however, has proved consistently strong, and has allowed few scores.
