The University basketball team will play its first game in the Gymnasium this evening at 8 o'clock with the Institute of Technology. Admission to the game will be 50 cents; no season tickets will be sold as last year.
The work of the team has progressed rapidly since practice began, especially in passing and team-play, to which Coach Grebenstein has devoted a great deal of attention. Newton shows the greatest individual improvement, but the other members of the team are not far behind in this respect.
The Technology team has defeated Dartmouth, Boston University, and Williams, and has three of its last year's players again this year. From the showing of the two teams thus far, the game should be very closely contested.
The line-up will probably be as follows: The University second team will play Technology second in the Gymnasium this evening at 7.30 o'clock; the second half will be played after the first half of the University team game. The probable line-up follows:
