In the first games of the scrub basketball series yesterday the Straphangers defeated the A-Pluses, 11 to 3, and the Benders defeated the Perootes by the score of 16 to 9.

This afternoon at 4 the Flerodoras will play the Thirty-Fivers, and at 8 this evening the Northayers will play the Legarites. The teams should report for play promptly at the times stated.

The basketball management has found it necessary to make the following additional rule in regard to the scrub series: that no man who has played on the first team of any University or College shall be eligible for a scrub basketball team.
