Professor Charles H. Moore Resigns

At the meeting of the Corporation last Thursday, the resignation of Charles Herbert Moore h.'90, professor of art and director of the Fogg Art Museum, was accepted, to take effect September 1, 1909.

Professor Moore received his first appointment from the University in 1871, when he was appointed instructor of freehand drawing and water color. In 1879 he became instructor in drawing and principles of design, and in 1891 assistant professor of design in the fine arts. He held this position until 1896 when he was appointed professor of art, the position he now holds. Professor Moore took charge of the Fogg Art Museum in 1895 in the office of curator, which was changed a year later to that of director.
