In the trials for the University relay team to run against Yale at the Boston Athletic Association meet next Saturday, E. K. Merrihew '10, H. Watson '10, P. C. Haskell '08, R. F. Hoyt '10, and W. F. Whitcher '09 made the best times. M. B. Van Brunt '08, who was unable to run on account of a bad ankle, was retained without trial. Haskell and Hoyt will run off their tie for fourth place this afternoon. The team will not be definitely picked, however, until the end of the week.
For the Senior relay team, which will run against the Junior and Sophomore teams in the meet, P. C. Haskell, H. R. Francis, P. W. Davis, M. C. Hutchinson, and W. P. Callahan were retained.
In the trials for the Junior relay team, W. M. Rand, H. F. Howes, E. T. Dana, and W. F. Whitcher made the best times and have been retained with R. Lothrop and R. Ellis.
F. M. de Selding, F. S. Blanchard, H. E. Keays, R. F. Hoyt, P. A. Merriam, and C. O. Mason have been retained for the Sophomore team. The best times in the trials for the Freshman relay team, to run against the Yale freshmen in the meet, were made by R. C. Foster, A. Sweetser, M. Steinhart, H. W. Kelley, H. A. Johnson, and R. Hornblower.
