A JOHN HARVARD CELEBRATION

We print this morning a communication from the President of the Harvard Memorial Society which deserves the attention of undergraduates. Although most of us are more or less familiar with the good work which the Society has done to preserve the records and traditions of the College, we have few occasions when we can show our appreciation and interest in tangible form. The idea of celebrating the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of John Harvard is a novel one and one which furnishes many possibilities for unique and effective ceremonies. We know that undergraduates will join heartily in any celebration which is arranged, but we feel that they should be willing to co-operate with the officers of the Memorial Society this spring by making suggestions which are so eagerly solicited.
