John Phillips Bigelow '09, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, died Thursday evening at Philadelphia, where he was operated upon for appendicitis a week ago. It was expected that he would recover, but peritonitis set in and he died Thursday evening at 8.30 o'clock.
Bigelow prepared for College at St. Paul's School, Concord. He was assistant manager of his Freshman football team, and last fall was second assistant manager of the University team. He had recently received the appointment of assistant manager of the University football team for next fall. During his two years in College, Bigelow has served on several class committees and has been one of the leading men in his class.
