Yesterday afternoon a change was made in the order of the University crew, and several men were shifted in the second boat. In the University boat, Amberg, who has been rowing 7 on the second crew, took the place of Faulkner at 5, the latter replacing Burchard at bow. In the second boat Lunt and G. G. Bacon exchanged places, Lunt stroking and Bacon going to number 4. Wiggins was moved down the boat to 7, while Burchard took his place at bow. Farley rowed at 2.
The work was very satisfactory, and both crews rowed smoothly. Lunt was in excellent form and finished out his stroke vigorously. On the first crew, during the trip down-stream, there was a slight tendency to be too slow on the recovery, but on the row back to the boathouse this was improved.
The orders:
University crew--Stroke, Morgan; 7, Severance; 6, R. Bacon; 5, Amberg; 4, Glass; 3, Tappan; 2, Fish; bow, Faulkner; cox., Blagden.
Second crew--Stroke, Lunt; 7, Wiggins; 6, Swain; 5, Burr; 4, G. G. Bacon; 3, Richards; 2, Farley; bow, Burchard; cox., Arnold.
