The intercollegiate gymnastic meet will be held tonight at 8 o'clock in the gymnasium of the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia.
Entries have been made from all of the eight universities which form the Intercollegiate Gymnastic Association--Harvard, Yale, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Columbia, New York University, Haverford and Rutgers--and the meet promises to be close. The chances, however, favor New York University which has won the meet for several years. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be given in the six regular events and three special cups will be given for first, second and third places for the all-round championship.
Only four entries have been made by the University--Captain S. E. Goodwin '07, W. C. Bennett 08, G. S. Taylor '08, and J. Tyng '08. They are, however, men of exceptional ability and should win points in the following events, in which they are entered:
Horizontal bar--S. E. Goodwin '07, G. S. Taylor '08, J. Tyng '08.
Parallel bars--S. E. Goodwin '07.
Flying rings--S. E. Goodwin '07.
Side horse--S. E. Goodwin '07.
Club swinging--W. C. Bennett '08.
