On account of the approach of spring weather it has been decided to discontinue the Sunday afternoon gatherings in Phillips Brooks House for the rest of the year.
These informal meetings, which have been held on Sunday afternoons since December 1, have been on the whole successful. Refreshments have been served and there has been music and reading or speaking by selected men. The attendance has varied greatly, the largest number being 300 and the smallest 12; the average has been about 80. The gatherings have been in charge of class committees serving in rotation.
Some of the men who have given talks or readings are: Dr. Henry Van Dyke h.'94, Mr. C. T. Copeland '82, Mr. Robert Mantell, Mr. R. F. Herrick '90, Dean LeB. R. Briggs '75, Professors C. R. Lanman, W. A. Nelson '96, and Mr. Frederick Moore.
