The interclass fencing tournament will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the fencing room of the Gymnasium. Each man will fence every man on the opposing teams in four-minute bouts, and the team winning the largest number of bouts will be awarded the championship. Cups offered by H. St. Gaudens '03 will be awarded to the team winning the most bouts, the members of which will also be entitled to wear caps bearing their class numerals and crossed swords. A special cup will be awarded to the winner of the most bouts.
The chances seem to favor the Senior team, which is made up of the same men who fenced for 1907 for the past two years, winning both championships. Both the Sophomore and the Freshman teams have been handicapped through lack of material, mainly on account of scholarship qualifications. The Junior team has been doing fairly good work, and should take second place in the tournament.
The teams will be made up as follows:
1907--R. E. Gish, captain, W. F. Low, H. M. Tillinghast.
1908--C. A. Bliss, captain, F. Bishop, B. M. Nussbaum.
1909--G. L. Cutting, captain, S. Kelley, C. M. Price.
1910--S. A. Begg, captain, W. G. Cameron, P. J. Baker.
The judges will be W. L. Bowman 3L. and W. Macleod 3L.
