The second football mass meeting of the year will be held this evening in the Living Room of the Union at 7.30 o'clock. G. G. Ball '08 will preside and lead the cheering, and L. J. Snyder '08 will lead the singing. Speeches will be made by D. C. Campbell S. '02, left end and captain of the victorious 1901 eleven, which defeated Yale 22 to 0, and by Coach Cutts, who was right tackle on the same team.
Long and short cheers will be practiced, and the old football songs rehearsed, as well as "The Spirit of Harvard," "Cambridge Town," and "No Hope for Yale," which were tried at the last mass meeting. The singing will be accompanied by Kanrich's Band, as the University Band has not had sufficient opportunity to learn the new songs. Besides the new songs already tried, four others have been chosen by the Song Committee and will be tried out tonight. They are "Smash the Line," by "XZZQ44," "The Harvard Love Song," by "Suitor," "Victory's Song," to the tune of "General Grant," by "Artichoke," and "We're Harvard Men," to "Auld Land Syne," by "Strong."
The mass meeting will be open to all members of the University, whether or not members of the Union.
