Yale 25; Wesleyan, 0

NEW HAVEN, CONN., Oct. 2, 1907.--In a game with frequent end runs, forward passes, punts, and open plays, the university team defeated Wesleyan by a score of 25 to 0. Good team work on the part of Yale was marred by frequent fumbling. In the first half Yale made two touchdowns and two goals, while Wesleyan came within 25 yards of the goal-line but lost the ball on a blocked forward pass.

In the second half Wesleyan was forced to make a safety. Then in seven plays Yale rushed the ball the length of the field for a touchdown. A fumble on the 10-yard line lost a later chance for a touchdown. The last score was the result of an excellent forward pass.

The line-up of the Yale team was as follows: Jones, Pigott, l.e.; Foster, Thornton, l.t.; Brides, Brown, l.g.; Cooney, c.; Goebel, Boggs, r.g.; Bigelow, r.t.; Burch Alcott, r.e.; Jones, Dines, q.b.; Wheaton, Berger, l.h.b.; Murphy, Bomar, r.h.b.; Wylie, Coy, f.b.
