HOCKEY WITH PRINCETON

In St. Nicholas Rink, New York, at 8.15.--Hardest Game of Year Expected.

The second of the intercollegiate hockey games for the University team will be played with Princeton this evening at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York, at 8.15 o'clock. Princeton has played and won two intercollegiate games this season, defeating Columbia and Dartmouth. Considering that Dartmouth defeated Yale last Wednesday, it is thought that this game will be the most difficult of the series. The Princeton team is composed of experienced and skilful men who play well together.

Since the Christmas recess the University team has been steadily improving in team play, speed, and stick work; but it has not had enough opportunity to practice and to develop the game that its members are capable of. The forwards in the game with Springfield on Wednesday showed a tendency at times to be wild in shooting and to start far too slowly. The playing, however, of the ends and the point in this game was very encouraging. As yet the defense has not had a real test, for all the teams that have been played so far have shown a weak attack.

Following is the line-up of the two teams: HARVARD.  PRINCETON. Pell, l.e.  r.e., Brush, Coxe Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Osborne Rumsey, r.c.  l.c., Chew Newhall, r.e.  l.e., Levis Foster, c.p.  c.p., Zahniser Willetts, p.  p., Tenney Carpenter, g.  g., Chislett
