LACROSSE WITH CORNELL

At 4 in Stadium.--Last Game of Year to Decide Intercollegiate Championship.

The University lacrosse team will play its last game of the season against Cornell, to decide the intercollegiate championship, at 1 o'clock this afternoon in the Stadium.

The University team began regular out door practice on March 28. Only four men from last year's team reported, and almost an entirely new team has been developed from last year's substitutes and the men who played on class teams. During the southern trip, the men played against some of the strongest college teams in the country, and though defeated, they developed a powerful attack and consistent team work. Since its return the team work. Since its return the team has held daily practice in the Stadium; and under the coaching of D. P. Penhallow '03 and R. Wynne M.'02, has shown marked improvement. Though its defense is somewhat unsteady its attack is very aggressive.

In the intercollegiate league games that have been played thus far, the University team has defeated Pennsylvania by the score of 3 to 0, and Columbia by the score of 3 to 2. Cornell defeated Columbia by the score of 3 to 0, and Pennsylvania by default. In its last outside games, however, the Cornell team has been playing rather unsteadily, and the chances today are slightly in favor of the University team. Last year, Harvard, Cornell, and Columbia tied for first place in the intercollegiate league.
