Last Saturday the University association football team was defeated by Haverford at Haverford by the score of 1 to 0. Owing to a blinding snow-storm that swept across the field, accurate shooting was made impossible, but the greater experience of Haverford in consistent team play made up for their somewhat erratic kicking.
During the first five minutes of play Reid of Haverford scored the only goal after a fierce scrimmage. After this Harvard exhibited good team plays and kept the ball well under control.
