The revised football rules will be finally adopted by the American Intercollegiate Rules Committee at a meeting to be held tonight and tomorrow in New York. The first session will take place this evening at 7.30 o'clock at the Murray Hill Hotel, and the committee will continue and complete its work tomorrow. Four sessions of this committee have already been held at intervals of two or three weeks, and the most important changes have received careful consideration. At this final session it will be merely necessary to pass definitely on the draft of the new rules which has been prepared by the secretary; and to decide upon certain penalties which have not yet been considered.
The Harvard Athletic Committee will meet on Monday evening to pass upon the revised game, and it is expected that at that time Harvard's policy toward football next fall will be determined. The action of the Athletic Committee will of course be subject to the approval of the governing boards of the University.
