The Freshman hockey Team was defeated by Pomfret School at Pomfret on Saturday by a score of 2 to 1. On the defense the Freshman played a strong and desperate individual game, but were unable to check Pomfret's fast team work. On the offense the team showed lack of practice, and was weak in passing and shooting, while all the forwards were slow to follow back after the puck had been lost Pomfret was correspondingly weak on the defense, which accounts to some extent for the closeness of the score.
The summary: Score--Pomfret, 2; Harvard 1909, 1. Goals--Hollins, Swords, Irving. Referee--G. B. Wagstaff '09. Time--15-minute halves.
