Final Yale Debate Trials Tonight

The final trials to select the team to debate against. Yale will be held in Upper Dane this evening at 7.30 o'clock. J. A. Harley '06, A. H. Elder '07 and A. P. Matthew 1L. will support the affirmative, and G. W. Hinckley 3L., J. W. Russell '06 and C. A. Small 2L.; the negative of the question, "Resolved, That it would be for the best interests of New York City to own its street railway system."

Each man will be allowed twelve minutes for his main speech and five minutes for rebuttal. Of the six speakers, three will be chosen to make up the University team, and the remaining three, from whom an alternate will be chosen later, will form the second team. The undergraduate making the best showing in the series of trials will be awarded the Coolidge prize of $100.

The judges will be Professor G. P. Baker '87, R. W. Kelso 2L., S. Curtis 2G., and R. T. Parke '98, who will coach the team.
