The Norwegian Parliament yesterday conferred the Nobel Peace Prize upon Theodore Roosevelt '80, in recognition of his services in bringing about the peace between Japan and Russia. The prize was founded by the will of Alfred Nobel, of Sweden, in 1896. The value of the prize is estimated at $40,000. President Roosevelt has signified his intention to devote the fund to the foundation of a permanent industrial peace committee at Washington.
