In the first day's play in the team matches for the intercollegiate golf championship at Garden City, Long Island, the University team was defeated by Princeton by the score of 15 1-2 to 2 1-2. Yale easily beat Cornell 20 to 0. Cornell entered a team for the first time, but Pennsylvania and Columbia for the first time in many years have not entered a team, though both have made entries in the individual championship.
