In its second game of the intercollegiate series the University hockey team will play Princeton on the St. Nicholas Rink, New York, this evening at 8.15 o'clock.
Since the game with Columbia last Saturday the University team has had only two days of practice on ice. Although thus handicapped by lack of practice the team is capable of showing the unexpected improvement in team work with which it played last Saturday. The forwards have generally played well individually, but in practice they fail to work together.
On account of lack of ice the Princeton team has not practiced for ten days and the work of the men is therefore likely to be very ragged. On January 6 Columbia defeated Princeton by the score of 4 to 2, but on January 10 Princeton won from Brown by the score of 5 to 4 in a game requiring four extra periods to play off the tie. The outcome of the game this evening is uncertain.
The teams will line-up as follows: 1909 vs. Cambridge Latin School at 4. The Freshman will play their first hockey game of the season this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Stadium with Cambridge Latin if weather permits. The Freshmen have had only four days of practice, so that the team is very undeveloped. The Freshman line-up will be as follows: l.e., Dougherty; l.c., Irving; r.c., Stevenson; r.e., Crosby; c.p., Ford, Sampson; p., Prescott; g., Washburn.
