To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
The great interest taken by the undergraduates in the plays given each year by the different clubs and societies suggests the idea of a theatrical performance given by no one set of men but by the University as a whole.
Technology has such a play and it is a success. At Harvard, where the field is larger, where interest in the theatre is fostered by study and tradition, and where already unusual enthusiasm is manifested, an even larger and more comprehensive effort, it seems to me, could be considered. As a new department of undergraduate activity such a play, moreover, would furnish an opportunity for the development of peculiar talents which now, except in a restricted way, are never discovered.
