The annual field-day sports will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Stadium. First and second prizes will be awarded in each event, but no one after winning a prize will be permitted to compete in subsequent events The sports are open to men eligible for the track team this year or who will be so next year, with the exception of those who are entered for the dual meet with Yale or who won prizes in the interclass or handicap games.
The meet will be of an informal nature, and it has been decided to allow men to enter on the field. In addition to the regular thirteen events a pig-back race, a 75-yard race for football players, and a 65-yard dodging race will be held on the turf.
As no events will be announced in the Locker Building, all competitors are urged to be on the field 10 minutes before the time of events which are scheduled as follows:
Track events--4, 120-yard hurdles trials; 4.10, 100-yard dash trials; 4.20, 440-yard run; 4.30, 75-yard race for football players; 4.40, 120-yard hurdles finals; 4.45, 100-yard dash finals; 4.50, mile run; 5, 65-yard dodging race; 5.10, 880-yard run; 5.20, 220-yard dash trials; 5.30, 220-yard hurdles trials; 5.40, two-mile run; 5.55, 220-yard dash finals; 6, 220-yard hurdles finals; 6.10, pig-back race.
Field events--4, high jump; 4, broad jump; 2, 16-pound shot put; 5, pole vault; 5.30, 16-pound hammer throw.
The officials are requested to report at the Locker Building at 3.45 o'clock this afternoon.
