Since the cut in the University crew squad last Saturday the orders of the upperclass crews have been somewhat changed. Each of the upperclasses has now two crews which are rowing daily. The addition of experienced men to the first crews has greatly strengthened them, and a marked improvement in the length of the stroke is evident. The men are gaining control of the slides and are giving the boats a drive which promises speed without a high stroke.

The Freshman rowing squad was reduced last Monday by two crews, but although six were retained, practically only five boats have been rowing this week, as the sixth has been reporting irregularly.
