The first public performance of the Deutscher Verein play, "Der Raub der Sabinerinnen," given last night in Brattle Hall, repeated the pronounced success of the graduates performance.
As usual, the general audience incited the actors to greater efforts, which received repeated applause, and the play went more smoothly. The correcting of one or two awkward groupings, however, and more attention to facing the audience, should contribute to the finish of tonight's performance.
The third and last performance will be given this evening at 8 o'clock in Potter Hall, Boston. Tickets may be had of C. E. Ware, Jr., Matthews 19, or may be obtained at the door.
