In Emerson Hall during the past week the floors in the whole building, with the exception of the hallways, have been finished. In the large lecture room on the first floor, or which the seating capacity is three hundred, a platform has been built, and rows of iron and wooden seats are being installed. On the second floor the red oak panelling, surmounted by a six-inch cornice, in the philosophical and psychological libraries, is almost complete. Large spaces have been left between the panels for book cases. Two other small studies have been finished in the same way, but in the other rooms, merely the plaster has been stained. In the instrumental room, two long quartered oak cases, with glass fronts, have been placed.
