Proposed Stadium for Yale Field

Plans are being considered by the Yale football management for the erection of a stadium to replace the present wooden stands on Yale Field. The latter have become a source of great expense, as extensive repairs are necessary every year. Toward the expense of constructing a stadium, the profits from athletics for the last few years can be used, and an additional loan floated, the latter to be paid for by gate receipts from the new stadium.

It has been proposed to build the stadium in the form of a wide arc, and if this idea is fulfilled, the arc will probably contain about 25,000 seats. Bleachers holding 10,000 or 15,000 more, will be run out along the side lines. Such an arc would make it possible to use the same field for both baseball and football games.
