The first of three trials to select the University team for the Harvard-Princeton debate will be held this evening at 7 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall. The subject for debate is: "Resolved, That intercollegiate football in America is a detriment rather than a benefit."

This trial will be open to all members of the University. Each man will speak five minutes, and between 12 and 15 men will be retained for the second trial Friday evening. The following will act as judges: Professor G. P. Baker, R. W. Kelso 2L., A. A. Ballantine 2L., E. M. Rabenold 2L.

All men who wish to compete are requested to hand in their names at Perkins 37, before noon today. The list of speakers will be posted in Gore Hall at 1 o'clock.

The trial this evening will be open to the public.
