SENIORS WON CHAMPIONSHIP

Defeated Freshmen 6 to 5.--Seniors Scored on a Fluke in First Half.

In the final game of the interclass football series yesterday afternoon, the Seniors won the class championship by defeating the Freshmen 6 to 5. Both teams were weak on the defense and unable to hold the ball. The Seniors secured their touchdown on a fluke in the first half.

The Freshmen received the kickoff and rushed the ball to their 45-yard line, where they were obliged to kick. Then the Seniors advanced the ball to mid-field but lost it on downs. After the ball had changed hands once more, Lunt of the Freshman team ran 20 yards outside of the tackle for a touchdown. Forchheimer failed to kick a difficult goal. The Seniors made their touchdown shortly after the next kickoff, when on a fumble Lupien picked up the ball and ran 40 yards for a touchdown. Grant kicked the goal.

In the second half the Seniors were gaining 10 yards on each rush, when they fumbled on the Freshmen's 30-yard line. The Freshmen carried the ball to the Seniors' 25-yard line where they were held for downs. Again the Seniors carried the ball by long runs to the Freshmen's 8-yard line, but were held for downs just before time was called.
