The folowing men were yesterday elected officers of the Sophomore class for the ensuing year: President, G. G. Bacon; vice-president, C. E. Lincoln; secretary, H. R. Shipherd.

The voting was light, 249 votes being east for president, and 246 for vice-president. The number of votes east for each man was as follows: President--G. G. Bacon, 157; H. S. Blair, 69; E. t. Witherby, 23; vice-president--C. E. Lincoln, 179; H. M. Gilmore, 67. H. R. Shipherd was declared elected secretary by the nominating committee, according to a motion passed at the last class meeting, providing that if all but one nominee withdrew, the one remaining should be declared elected.

Bacon, the new president, prepared at Groton. He played on his Freshman football team, rowed on the Freshman four-oar, and was president of the Freshman Glee Club.

Lincoln, vice-president, prepared at Brookline High School. He played on the class football and baseball teams last year, and is now on the University football squad.

The new secretary, Shipherd, prepared at the Coxsackie High School, Coxsackie, New York. Last year he was alternate on the class team in the interclass debate, and he is at present a member of the University and Forum Debating Clubs.

Yale will play Princeton at New Haven today.
