Mr. J. L. Smith, the well known artist, and an instructor in free hand drawing in the Architectural department, is exhibiting a number of paintings in the northeast room of Robinson Hall. The exhibition will be open from 2 to 5 o'clock daily until November 25. The most interesting part of the collection is the set of Egyptian pictures, painted by Mr. Smith last winter, which consists of eight large paintings and ten smaller ones, depicting various Egyptian antiquities. In the collection there are also several other of Mr. Smith's paintings made by him in Italy. On Friday, November 24, Mr. Smith will give a stereopticon lecture in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Museum on Egyptian works and especially on "The Opening of the Tomb of the Parents of Til."
