The Entertainment Troupes committee of the Social Service committee has sent circulars giving particulars about applications for entertainments, etc., to over 100 hospitals and charitable institutions about Boston. The entertainments, under the auspices of the Committee, will begin next week, and will consist of music, lectures, reading and ledgerdemain. As usual, no admission fee will be allowed. There will be an average of about three entertainments a week until May 10, but no entertainments will be given on Saturday evenings.
About 175 men have volunteered their services and they will be assigned sections according to their qualifications. Mandolin players will be divided into three clubs under the direction of J. L. White '06, N. C. Nash '07, and J. B. Husband '08. Men who are experienced readers, or sleight-of-hand performers, and are willing to do this work, are requested to send their names to J. L. White '06.
The Entertainment Troupes Committee for 1905-1906 is made up of the following men: J. L. White '06, chairman; H. D. Pierpont '06, H. M. Turner '06, C. C. Nash '07, N. C. Nash '07, D.S G. Field '07, P. Christy '07, A. Grant '07, G. G. Ball '08, J. B. Husband '08, G. Emerson '08.
