First Basketball Game Tonight.

The University baseball team will play the first regular game of its schedule this evening at 8 o'clock with the Naval Reserves at Newport.

Although the Naval Reserves this year have a strong team and have defeated Pennsylvania and lost to Columbia by only one point, the chances of the University team are good, as the men are in better condition than at the opening of last season. On the whole the team is better on the offense than on the defense. Not withstanding the fact that Captain Henderson has been absent from the line-up much of the time, the shooting and team-work have developed well.

Underwood, at forward, is quick in his floor work but is still erratic in throwing easy baskets. Murray, although looked upon as a promising man for forward, does not as yet assist enough in advancing the ball. At centre, Snyder is strong both on the offensive and defensive, but at times he allows his opponent to break away. Of the guards, Griffiths is the more experienced both in defensive work and in shooting. Burnham, at the other guard position, plays well on the defense when the ball changes hands. His shooting is weak, however, and he fouls frequently.

The line-up tonight will be: HARVARD.  NAVAL RESERVES. Henderson, l.f.  r.f., Allan Murray, Underwood, r.f.  l.f., Millington Snyder, c.  c., Bowler Burnham, l.g,  r.g., Nelson Griffiths, r.g.  l.g., Beattie, O'Neil
