The University basketball team defeated the second team in practice last night by a score of 40 to 6. Most of the regular men on the first team were in the line-up, including Captain Henderson, who has been out of the game for the last few days.

In the first half the men on both teams resorted to individual plays and tried for baskets from too great a distance. The passing and covering of the first team in the second half showed some improvement, but the shooting was still weak. Total lack of team play by the second team was responsible for the high score.
