At a meeting of the Freshman class held last evening the following officers were elected for the year: president, George Gill Ball, of Boston. Noble and Greenough's School; vice-president, Philip Boyer, of Penllyn, Pa., Groton School; secretary and treasurer, Guy Emerson, of Boston, Boston Latin School.
The voting was heavy; 47 votes were cast for president, 407 for vice-president, and 372 for secretary-treasurer. The number of votes cast for each man nominated was as follows: president--G. G. Ball, 260; H. S. Blair, 157; vice-president--P Boyer, 247; P. L. Butler, 60; C. E. Lincoln, 100; secretary-treasurer--G. Emerson, 305; L. W. Pritchett, 67.
By a unanimous vote, the sentiment of the class was recorded as being opposed to disorderly smokers or meetings of any kind.
