Yale Letter.

During the past week officers have been elected for the three branches of spring athletics, baseball, track and crew, at mass meetings of the University. J. S. Ellsworth '05 was elected president and manager of the baseball association, with W. McLanahan '05S. as vice-president and S. Turner '06 as assistant manager. In the crew elections H. A. Raymond '05 was chosen president, R. C. Morse, Jr., '05S. vice-president, and W. S. Moorhead '06 secretary. The track association presidency went to W. N. Stillman '05, while R. P. Kinney '05 was elected vice-president and M. B. Sands '06 assistant manager.

The first distinctive dormitory for the Sheffield Scientific School, to be known as Vanderbilt-Scientific, is practically finished and will be first occupied next fall. It contains about forty rooms and will be used chiefly by the two upper classes at Sheffield. The new Kirtland laboratory and the Lampson Lyeeum will be ready for inspection by commencement time, and will be put in use next fall. Ground was broken last week for another Sheffield building, the Hammond laboratory of metallurgy, which will be finished early next year.

The final game of the Yale-Princeton series will be played next Saturday on the American League grounds, New York City.

The cup men from the academic and Sheffield junior classes have been chosen for next year as follows: C. W. Fiske '05, A. M. Reid '05, H. Baxter '05, and J. H. Lathrop '05, W. B. Day '05S. and E. G. Spaulding '05S.

The final race of the Corinthian Yacht Club for the Graduates' Cup was held on Wednesday and was won by dory no. 1, owned by J. B. Brinsmade '06 and R. Leech '06.

The baccalaureate address to the academic senior class will be given in Woolsey Hall on June 26 by President Hadley.
