The University handicap track games will be held on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock. In case of possible postponement on account of rain, a notice will be posted at Leavitt and Peirce's, and the games will be held at the same hour tomorrow.
Prizes will be given for first and second places in each event, and only the first two men who finish in the trial heats will qualify for the finals. The handicaps will be announced directly before the games, and the schedule times of the various events are only approximate.
Despite the recent bad weather, the track is in good condition, and the games should furnish spirited competition, if not very excellent performances from the standpoint of records. Contrary to the usual custom, no admission fee will be charged.
